- He does not appear to be the son of Timothy and Sarah (Waldron) Goodwin. That William baptized in Marblehead appears to be the son of Sarah's first husband John Leach. That William died in 1712 as a singleman, fisherman. Five children were baptized on 29 Apr 1694 - 2 being children of Sarah (John & William), and the others, Mary, Christopher & Timothy, children of both. Cutter (frequently proven incorrect), 3:1234, is the original source for this William being a part of that family.
