    • Jack Colson had him as the son of Josiah and Mary Merrill. "Bartholomew Heath" says this Mary died in 1731 and I can find no other records of children's births. Given the great difference in age, I'm inclined to believe that Eldad was the grandson of Josiah and Mary.
