    • Lieutenant in the Revolution and was in the action against Burgoyne at Saratoga. He also served for two years in the "Ring-bone" Company of sixty minute-men commanded by Capt. Josiah Terrell, and was out on two short tours as Stamford and New Haven, CT. In a document dated 1 Jan 1778, Capt. John Lewis Jr complained that his Lieutenant, Ira Beebe, lead off a large number of his company contrary to his orders. Lt. Ira Beebe was order to pay the costs that had arisen.
