  • Notes
    • David had 11 children. In the fall of 1809, when David was 62 years old, he and two others exchanged their New England farms for 1/4 of Ridgeville Township in Lorain County, Ohio. In April 1810, David, his two sons and nine others set out on foot for their new property arriving there on May 10th. They cleared the land, erected a log cabin and then returned to Connecticut for their families. The families consisting of 20 persons were seven weeks on the trip back to Ohio. Two yokes of oxen to a wagon with a horse for a leader provided their transportation. Served in the Rev. War.
