He was also known as Trafton J. Abbott. He served in the military in the Civil War. He died before 1900 (does not appear in the census). He was married to Emily Ann Marshall on 3 May 1861 in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine.

Emily Ann Marshall was born in Sep 1837 in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine. She appeared in the 1850 census in Matinicus, Lincoln Co., Maine, age 14,.and in the 1860, age 24, 1870, age 34, &1880 censuses in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine, She appears in the 1900 census in Rockland, Knox Co., Maine, age 62. She died after 1900. Children were:

ii. William G. Abbott was born about 1867. He appeared on the census in 1870 in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine, age 3.
iii. Freeman James Abbott.was born 24 May 1874. He appeared in the 1880 census in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine, age 6. He died after 1930.
iv. Mary G. Abbott was born on 15 Feb 1877 in Matinicus, Knox Co., Maine. She appeared on the census in 1900 in Vinalhaven, Knox Co., Maine, She died on 17 Jun 1958 in Saint George, Knox Co., Maine. She was married first to William Barton on 9 Oct 1899 in Vinalhaven, Knox Co., Maine She married 2nd, Forest Hupper on 24 Jun 1948.
