John Eldredge was born about 1705 in Chatham, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He was married to Ruhamah Doane on 26 Sep 1728 in Chatham, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.

Ruhamah Doane was born about 1709. She died on 24 Jan 1766 from smallpox. Children were:

i. Pvt. Thomas Eldredge.
