Elder Henry Cobb was born about 1608 in England. He signed a will on 4 Apr 1678. He died in 1679 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. His estate was probated on 3 Jun 1679. He was buried in Lothrop's Hill Cemetery, Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He was Puritan.  

Parentage is not certain but very likely. Went to London as apprentice, probably maltster. Came to America in 1629 on "The Anne" but could be "Mayflower II" or "Little James". In Plymouth til 1634 when he moved to Scituate. Moved to Barnstable in 1639. Was Deacon from 1635-70 and Ruling Elder from 1670-79.

He married first Patience Hurst in 1631 in Plymouth Colony.

He married second Sarah Hinckley on 12 Dec 1649 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.

Sarah Hinckley was born in 1629 in Tenterden, co. Kent, England. She died about 1679. Children were:

i. Mehitable Cobb was born on 1 Sep 1651 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. She died on 8 Mar 1652 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
ii. Samuel Cobb.
iii. Sarah Cobb was born on 15 Jan 1658 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. She died on 25 Jan 1658 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
iv. Jonathan Cobb was born on 10 Apr 1660 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He died on 29 Oct 1721 in Portland, York Co., Province of Maine, Massachusetts.
v. Sarah Cobb was born on 10 Mar 1662/63 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. She died on 8 Jan 1743.
vi. Henry Cobb was born on 3 Sep 1665 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He died on 24 Sep 1722 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut.
vii. Mehitable Cobb was born on 15 Feb 1667 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
