He was a ferryman in 1636 in Salem, Essex Co.,
Massachusetts. He signed his will on 21 Jul 1644. 
I Richard Ingersoll of Salem in the County of Essex in New England being weake
in body but through God's mercy in perfect memory doe make this my last will
and testament as followeth, viz: I give Ann my wife all my estate of land, goods
and chattels whatsover except as followeth, viz: I give George Ingersoll my son
six acres lying in the great meadow. Item, I give to Nathaniel Ingersoll, my
youngest son, a parcell of ground which I bought of John P. but if the said Nathaniel
dy without issue of his body lawfuly begotten, then the land aforesaid to be
equally shared between John Ingersoll my son and Richard Pettingell and William
Harnes, my sons in law. I give to Bathsheba my youngest daughter two cows. I
give to my daughter, Alice Walcott my house at town with ten acres of upland
and meadow after my wife's decease.

Massachusetts.     His estate was probated on 2 Jan
1644/45 
and the inventory was taken on 4 Oct 1644.
Some of
the items listed were as follows:
7 cows, 34 Lbs; two young steers, 4 lbs.; bull,
7 lbs.; pair of oxen, 14 lbs.; two horses and mare and young colt, 25 lbs.; a
farm of 80 acres, 7 lbs. A moose skin suit was another item. Among Richard Ingersoll's papers was found this recipe: "A metson
to make a man's hear groe when he is bald: Take some fier flies and some Redd
worms and sum black snayles and sum hune bees and drie them and ppund them to
powder and mixt them in milk or water".  He was married to Agnes
Langlye on 10 Oct 1611 in Sandy, co. Bedford,
England.    
Agnes Langlye     was born about 1590 in Sandy, co. Bedford,

England.  He was a
selectman in 1652 in Gloucester, Essex Co.,
Massachusetts. He was a Provincial Assembly (Maine) representative between
1683 and 1685. He
made a deposition on 24 Jun 1685. He died after 22 Jun 1694 in Province of Maine, Massachusetts.     "Penobscot Pioneers" says he died in Salem. He
was a Tavern keeper and Indian-fighter.

England. He signed a will on 20 Nov 1683. He died in Dec 1683 in Salem, Essex Co.,

Joanna Ingersoll        was born

England. She was baptized on 3 Mar 1624 in Sutton, co. Bedford,
England. She died about 1693 in Newbury, Essex Co.,
Massachusetts. Davis says she predeceased her husband. She was also known
as Joan Ingersoll.

and again on 25 Dec 1694. He died on 27 Jan 1718/19 in Lynn, Essex Co.,
Massachusetts.
