I've done a bit or research on the Bolton families in Maine in the 1700s and early 1800s. Seems there were 3 families, two of which may be related. In any case, I have:
Lydia Bolton, b: 28 Feb 1833; m: 9 Nov 1851 to Charles T Perkins. She was the daughter of Benjamin Bolton and Mercy Webber.
Benjamin Bolton, b: c1791, d: 24 Oct 1872; m: abt 18 Aug 1812(int) to Mercy Webber. He was the son of Solomon Bolton and Elizabeth Pratt
Solomon Bolton, b: c1756; d: after 1840; m: abt Sep 1780 to Elizabeth Pratt. He was the son of Elisha Bolton and Rachel ?.
Elisha Bolton, b: c1734; d: ?; m: ? to Rachel ?. He was the son of Elisha Bolton.
Elisha Bolton, b: 7 Mar 1700; d: c1777; m: ? to Mary ?. He was the son of John Bolton and Sara Chesebrough.
John Bolton, b: c1662, d: c1721; m: 8 Mar 1683 to Sarah Chesebourgh. He is possibly the son of Nicholas Bolton of Dorchecter, MA
I have about 15-20 family group sheets and notes that I can send you via e-mail in about a week if interested. I don't know how much of the above you already know. Also, since I was never able to definitively tie this family to by Bolton family (of Augusta, ME), I did not complete researching the family and there are some assumptions that need to be thoroughly proven. |
