William Cole was born about 1580 in Bristol, co. Gloucester, England. He made his will and died on 26 May 1662 in Hampton, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. His estate was probated on 14 Apr 1663. He was married to Elizabeth Doughty on 3 May 1625.

Elizabeth Doughty was born on 11 Oct 1607 in Hempstead, co. Gloucester, England. She died about 1650. Children were:

i. John Cole.
ii. Nicholas Cole was born in 1626. He died on 21 Dec1688.
iii. William Cole was born about 1627.
