iii. Reuben M. Hutchings was born on 7 Dec 1831 in Orland, Hancock Co., Maine. He appeared on the census in 1850 in Penobscot, Hancock Co., Maine, age 11. He appeared on the census in 1860 in Penobscot, Hancock Co., Maine, age 21, as a seaman. He was a farmer. His nickname was "Red" Reuben.
iv. Ausoma Hutchings was born about 1835. She died before 1850. 

I figure she was born here as there is an appropriate birth gap between Reuben and Edith (9 years). The other possibility is that her mother died giving birth to her in 1843. She doesn't appear in the 1850 census with the other children.
